A Cozy Winter Wedding at Willowdale Estate | Miranda & Brian

There’s something about those in-between days after Christmas—when everything slows down just a little, the lights are still glowing, and the world feels softer around the edges. That’s exactly the kind of magic Miranda and Brian stepped into on December 28th, as they gathered their favorite people for a cozy, elegant celebration at Willowdale Estate.

After ten years together, this wasn’t just another milestone. It was their moment—finally.

A Willowdale Estate Wedding That Made Planning Feel Easy

From the very beginning, Willowdale Estate stood out in a way that felt undeniable. In fact, it was the very first venue they toured—and they never looked back.

The fireplaces, the layered rooms, and the warm, inviting atmosphere created a space that instantly felt like home. But beyond the aesthetic, the experience mattered just as much. Their all-inclusive approach simplified everything, which meant Miranda and Brian could actually enjoy the process instead of feeling buried by it.

Even more importantly, the food sealed the deal. After their tasting, they knew they had found the place.

A First Look That Felt Both Private and Shared

Some moments manage to feel intimate and inclusive all at once—and their first look was exactly that.

Set in the courtyard, Miranda and Brian saw each other for the first time while their closest friends and family quietly watched from the windows above. It created this beautiful balance: deeply personal, yet still shared with the people who mattered most.

Before the day fully unfolded, they also took time to read their vows privately. That choice not only eased the pressure of speaking in front of a crowd, but it also grounded them. It gave them a moment to pause, breathe, and remember exactly why they were there.

A Winter Wedding with Cozy, Elegant Details

Because their wedding fell just after the holidays, the entire day carried that soft, festive glow. Instead of leaning into anything overly styled, they embraced a more natural approach—neutral tones, subtle holiday décor, and textures that enhanced the space rather than competing with it.

Then, almost as if on cue, a light snowfall the night before added the final touch. It transformed the estate into something that felt straight out of a winter storybook.

Letting Go of Expectations

Like so many couples, Miranda found herself reflecting on all the weddings she had been part of before her own. At first, it felt like pressure—to include every detail, every trend, every “must-have.”

But over time, that mindset shifted.

Instead of comparing, they focused inward. They chose what felt right for them and let go of what didn’t. And because of that, the day felt authentic from start to finish.

A Love Story Years in the Making

Their story began in a place that doesn’t exactly scream romance—a college class at Hofstra University. Still, sometimes the most unexpected beginnings lead to the strongest foundations.

After graduation, they faced three years of long distance between New Hampshire and New Jersey. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. Eventually, Brian made the move to New Hampshire, and together they built a life—one that included a home, shared routines, and a future that slowly took shape.

A Proposal by the Ocean

When the time came, Brian chose a place that already meant something to them: Marginal Way in Ogunquit, Maine.

After a beach day with close friends, he proposed along the water, with the ocean stretching out behind them. Later, they celebrated with both families—simple, meaningful, and full of joy.

A Day That Felt Like Everything Coming Full Circle

By the time their wedding day arrived, the weight of it all had settled in—in the best way.

After ten years together, after distance and growth and standing beside so many others on their wedding days, it was finally their turn. And as the day unfolded, everything felt exactly as it should.

They felt present. They felt grateful. Most of all, they felt surrounded by love.
