A Love Story That Began Long Before Their New England Move
Kyleigh and Kyle’s story began long before their move to the Northeast.
The two grew up in neighboring small towns in Texas and attended rival high schools. Although they shared mutual friends from school and church, they didn’t officially meet until a summer camp in 2017.
They quickly became friends, texting often and getting to know each other better. Eventually that friendship grew into something more.
“At just fourteen years old, we fell in love,” Kyleigh shared.
Seven years later, the couple is still building their life together.
“We truly feel blessed to have met at such a young age,” she said. “It gave us the chance to grow up together.”
A Surprise Proposal Before Their New England Adventure
Kyleigh knew a proposal might be coming someday, but Kyle managed to keep the timing a complete surprise.
On May 23, 2025, the two spent the day estate sale shopping around Dallas — one of their favorite things to do together. Later that evening they were planning to attend his mother’s retirement dinner.
Before the dinner, they stopped at Kyle’s brother’s house to change. Kyleigh borrowed a dress and heels from Kyle’s sister-in-law and the two headed out.
On the way, Kyle mentioned he needed to meet someone to purchase golf clubs he had found online. The meeting location happened to be a beautiful nature preserve.
When they arrived, Kyle said the seller was running late and suggested they go for a short walk.
Eventually they reached a small bridge overlooking the creek. Kyle suggested walking down for a better view, but Kyleigh hesitated — the thin kitten heels she was wearing weren’t exactly made for uneven ground.
Kyle solved the problem quickly by picking her up and carrying her down to the water.
That’s when she noticed his hands starting to shake.
It suddenly clicked.
Kyle was proposing.
As emotions rushed in, tears quickly followed. Just moments later, Kyle’s brother and sister-in-law emerged from the trees — they had secretly followed behind to capture the moment on video and photos.
“It was truly perfect,” Kyleigh said. “Kyle’s heartfelt words and the beautiful ring he picked out for me made it unforgettable.”

Kyleigh and Kyle are planning their wedding for July 26, 2026 at Misselwood Estate in Beverly, Massachusetts.
For many of their guests, the celebration will double as a destination wedding experience.
“It will be a destination wedding for most of our friends and family,” Kyleigh shared. “We’re excited for everyone to come experience New England for the weekend.”
The historic estate’s coastal setting will be the perfect backdrop for their celebration.
Looking Forward to Forever
After being together since their teenage years, Kyleigh and Kyle are most excited for one simple thing — celebrating the beginning of their marriage surrounded by the people they love most.
“Having all of our loved ones there to celebrate the start of our forever,” Kyleigh said. “A day we have dreamed about since we were fourteen.”
