A Winslow Park Engagement Session Filled With Meaning
Nic and Alyssa’s Winslow Park engagement session in Freeport, Maine, was especially meaningful because it took place at the exact spot where Nic proposed. The couple first met in middle school, became best friends, and spent all of high school in the same homeroom. Though they had crushes on each other since they were 12, they didn’t officially start dating until they were 19.
The Proposal at Winslow Park
On a chilly, windy day in late November, the two spent the afternoon Christmas shopping in Freeport before heading to Winslow Park for a beach walk. After reaching the point of the beach that juts out into the ocean, Alyssa jokingly asked, “Nic, will you marry me?” only to turn around and see Nic down on one knee. She said yes, laughing at the coincidence and apologizing for unintentionally stealing his big moment.

Because Winslow Park held such sentimental value, Nic and Alyssa knew it was the perfect place to take their engagement photos. With sweeping ocean views, sandy beaches, and rocky coastline, the location beautifully reflected both their story and their shared love for Maine.
Wedding Plans and Excitement for the Future
Nic and Alyssa will be tying the knot on August 30, 2025, on Alyssa’s family’s land in northern Maine. The couple is thrilled to celebrate surrounded by family and friends and can’t wait to officially become husband and wife.
