Kelly and Erin’s Valley View Farm wedding in Massachusetts was a beautiful celebration of love, elegance, and personality—with soft pink details, vibrant wildflowers, and the kind of happy tears that only come from marrying your best friend. Surrounded by the serene Western Massachusetts countryside, the couple created a day that was as warm and heartfelt as their relationship.
A Double Proposal, One Perfect Match
Kelly and Erin’s story started in the modern way—on a dating app. Erin messaged first, bonding over their shared love of She’s the Man, and their first date quickly led to many more (including a legendary second-date ice cream trip to J.P. Licks).
When it came time to propose, they took a non-traditional, but completely perfect route. They picked out their rings together, but both wanted to keep the actual proposals a surprise.
Erin went first, planning a clever ambush in Boston’s Seaport with the help of Kelly’s friends. While Kelly thought she was heading out for a casual dinner and photo op, Erin was waiting in the park, ready with a ring—and Kelly was truly surprised. A few weeks later, Kelly proposed back at Granite Links in Quincy, with a champagne celebration and sweeping views of the Boston skyline at sunset.
Why a Valley View Farm Wedding Was the Perfect Choice
While exploring venues in both the Greater Boston area and Western Massachusetts, Valley View Farm stole their hearts. “We didn’t even want a ‘barn wedding’ at first,” they shared, “but Valley View is so unique. It felt romantic and elegant—exactly what we wanted.”
Beyond the rustic charm and scenic views, it was the people at Valley View Farm who sealed the deal. “The staff are incredible—kind, flexible, and totally invested in making your day your own. There’s no cookie-cutter approach. They truly want it to reflect you.”
A Ceremony Full of Emotion (and Laughter)
Despite some nerves about reading personal vows in front of a crowd, the ceremony was their favorite part of the day. “Walking back down the aisle with our loved ones cheering, ‘Do You Believe in Magic?’ playing, and realizing—we’re married!—was the most joyful moment.”
As they stepped into the sun after the ceremony, Kelly twirled Erin, who tripped slightly on her dress and whispered, “oh shit!”—and the two burst into laughter. It was the perfect mix of romance and real life, and totally them.
Elegant, Romantic Details
Their wedding design centered around softness, love, and elegance. Bridesmaids wore blush tones, and colorful wildflowers added a fresh, summery touch. “We wanted everything to feel warm, joyful, and us.”
The vibe was intimate but elevated—combining rustic farm charm with romantic florals and sweet, playful nods to their favorite movies and shared memories.
Planning Together With Intention
With over a year to plan, the couple was able to pace themselves, spreading out tasks and making intentional decisions along the way. “We loved touring venues together and dreaming up the day,” they said.
Their advice? “Start with a conversation. Talk about what matters most to you both—the vibe, the values, the priorities. Set a budget (but know you’ll probably go over it!), and if you have time, space things out with set deadlines.”
A Day Full of Calm, Love, and Laughter
From start to finish, their Valley View Farm wedding was filled with magic. “It was dreamy, exciting, and full of love. We felt so present, and the whole day was calm—even with the usual nerves before the ceremony.”
Having all of their favorite people in one place was unforgettable. “It was so special to reconnect with family and friends we hadn’t seen in ages. That feeling—of being surrounded by love—is something we’ll never forget.”
