A Love Story That Started with Live Music
Abby and Patrick’s Kennebunkport engagement session was a celebration of their love story—a story that began on a sunny summer afternoon in 2021.
Neither of them expected much when they struck up a conversation at a restaurant while listening to live music with friends. But one casual exchange of phone numbers led them here, planning a life together and preparing for their New Hampshire wedding in June.
Their engagement session, set against the coastal charm of Kennebunkport, perfectly captured the joy and excitement of this special time in their lives.
A Magical Proposal in St. John
Patrick had been planning his proposal for months, knowing he wanted to pop the question somewhere unforgettable. When the couple set off for a vacation in St. John, it seemed like the perfect opportunity.
For days, they explored the island—snorkeling, shopping, and dining at incredible restaurants. Patrick had originally chosen another spot for the proposal, but after passing ZoZo’s restaurant on their way back from snorkeling, he knew that was the place.
The Moment It All Changed
On the night of the proposal, they arrived at ZoZo’s, a breathtaking beachfront restaurant, after taking an island taxi and descending a steep cliffside path.
After ordering appetizers, Patrick suggested a walk out onto the restaurant’s private dock. As the sun set over the ocean, he dropped to one knee—right in front of a restaurant full of strangers who immediately erupted into cheers.
“It was picture perfect,” Abby recalls. “The whole restaurant celebrated with us—we made new friends that night, and it felt like we were surrounded by love.”
A Coastal Kennebunkport Engagement Session
When it came time for their engagement session, they knew they wanted a location that reflected their love for New England’s coastal charm.
Kennebunkport, with its rocky shoreline, historic charm, and breathtaking ocean views, provided the perfect setting. With Anna Solo Photography behind the lens, their session was filled with candid laughter, romantic embraces, and the undeniable excitement of their future together.
Excitement for Their New Hampshire Wedding
With their wedding just months away, Abby and Patrick can hardly wait to say ‘I do.’
They’ve carefully selected wonderful vendors who have made the planning process seamless and enjoyable, and they’re looking forward to celebrating with their closest friends and family.
“We both cannot contain our excitement—we wish it was June already!” Abby shares.
But more than anything, they’re simply thrilled to become husband and wife.
“Neither of us have ever felt this way before. We’re so excited to blend our lives together, to celebrate with all of our loved ones, and to experience a love like this for the rest of our lives.”
